The Biggest Secret to Escaping Fear

If you’ve been following along on the Gram, you’d know the answer to this. It’s ditching unconscious media consumption, unplugging, turning off your phone notifications, shutting off the TV, avoiding the news.
Escape living in fear by unplugging from it!!
Okay Sara, what exactly do you mean by unplugging from the media?? Like forever, and never looking back?!
Unplugging from fear means becoming conscious of the media you are consuming and limiting or eliminating the unconscious media consumption that doesn’t serve you well. I don’t mean quit it all together, cold turkey. I know we’re human, and it’s super hard to resist those urges. I get it. All I’m saying is to limit and eliminate the media that provides absolutely NO value to you. You know the kind that you unintentionally consume by turning on the TV out of habit, or the kind that you just scroll by on auto-pilot with no self-awareness on how the feed makes you feel.
Have you ever come across a post that made you feel angry, upset, or jealous even? Yeah those are the ones we’re trying to unplug from.
Why do I need to unplug?
Is this even a question anymore? I mean, you can’t even open up social, turn on the TV or radio without being bombarded by all the dooms day rhetoric.⁠⁠ Newsflash: the world isn’t ending, but you’d probably believe it was if you’re consuming the propaganda. ⁠
M$M & the powers that be have one mission: to keep you in a perpetual state of fear.⁠⁠ Why?! Bc fear puts us in survival mode, makes us turn on each other, creating an ‘us vs them’ mentality. And when we’re divided, then they can easily manipulate and control us. The tried-and-true divide & conquer tactic. Tale as old as time, am I right?⁠⁠ They don’t report on topics that unify us, do they? Show me where?!⁠ I’ll wait.⁠⁠
We’ve known this for decades. Why then do we continue to turn to the bigwigs to take care of us?⁠⁠ Maybe bc they’ve programmed us to play the victim for so long that we now believe it! We sit waiting for them to save us, which ain’t happening anytime soon.⁠⁠ Well it’s time for us to wake up. Time to realize that we have the power to save ourselves. We always have, but maybe we’ve just forgotten. Let me help you remember.
Unplug from their programming. Break free from their matrix. Free yourself from their invisible prison. Reconnect with your divine intuition…the power within you, that’s been waiting for you to come back home.⁠
Cmon’ I know you can do it…
⁠Imagine a life where you are so in tune with yourself, who you are, your purpose, and all things that light you up. You know what serves you well and you continue to do those things, and for the things that don’t, well, you eliminate those from your life. Life is better, you feel better, it’s lighter.
Is that a life you strive for? If you’re a high-achieving woman, I REALLY hope that is the type of life you strive for. Because you deserve that life, you deserve all the joy in your life. You deserve to be happy and feel good about the things you’re doing.
Unplugging from fear is a necessity. Having the ability to know how to manage your energy is essential to living your best life. If any, and I mean any type of media throws your game off – this can be social media, the news, the radio, conversations you’re having – then you need to ditch them fast.
So how do I do this intentionally?
Take action now!
Next time you’re scrolling through the feeds, if there is a piece of content that brings up any unwanted negative emotions – makes you compare yourself, feel bad about your situation, or makes you feel like you ‘wish’ you had that life – it’s time to unfollow (or at the very least, mute if it’s family). Why? Because if you keep seeing that life and keep telling yourself you ‘wish’ you had that, or ‘you’re not enough’ or ‘ you could never have that life’ – then you’re diminishing your own unique power. Media consumed should empower you, encourage you, motivate and inspire you. You don’t need any media that makes you feel less than. So unfollow & unplug.

  • Anger
  • Sadness
  • Frustration
  • Disgust
  • Anxiety

Feelings that tell you to stick around:

  • Confidence
  • Empowerment
  • Strength
  • Happiness & joy
  • Laughter
  • Makes you want to take action

Alright, so you’ve downsized you IG following by half, now what? With your new-found free time, try swapping out the habit of scrolling or watching with one of these great techniques:

  • Journaling
  • Energy management exercises (sun gazing, shower meditation)
  • Meditation
  • Practicing mindfulness (get out in nature and ground yourself in the present moment)
  • Deep breathing
  • Try some high vibe activities (chant, music, dancing, singing, laughing)
